Trader Interview - Threesixty Services

This week we spent 5 minutes getting to know Threesixty Services, a fantastic Plumbing business on Zetland Road....

How long has your business been trading on Gloucester Road?

Been on Zetland Road since 2012

What made you choose Gloucester Road for opening your business?

Busy, interesting, lively, good range of other businesses inc those in our sector of household maintenance and products, good area of customers with desire to improve their properties and a general green ethos, plus plenty of landlords properties. Great profile exposure for our brand, right on the lights at Zetland Road because its always busy.

What have been the highlights for you since opening your business?

Our launch was fun, having customers just pop in because they’ve seen us on the street, seen our vans or our ad in the local magazines and decide to pop in. We even had a visitor from north oxfordshire to see the Ecosoft water conditioner.
Our location makes us attractive as an employer.
Getting to know the other traders on Zetland road in particular and supporting each other in small ways. And getting to know lots of other traders through being active on the BID board.

What kinds of products/services does your business offer?

We provide high quality solutions, with good customer service, for all the domestic and light commercial plumbing and heating needs.
We specialise in delivering great designs and smooth installation of fantastic bathrooms, wet rooms, bedroom/cupboard to shower/toilet conversions. And of course all the standard maintenance and repair services you’d expect of a good plumber or heating engineer. We can source and supply all the parts that the customer wants or simply install the items that they’ve purchased themselves.
We instruct Gas Safe engineers to resolve quickly and cost effectively any problems with boilers and heating or hot water systems and we offer competitive price for heating system power flushes.

Is there anything your business does that people might not be aware of?

We are redesigning our showroom as part of Bristol’s Green Capital year to demonstrate and highlight the range of products that are available to every household to help them save money, save water and save energy.  We want people to be able to visit and see and touch for themselves the options and have advice as to what will be the best solution for their situation.
The centrepiece of these products is the Ecosoft Water Conditioner which is new into the UK but making great progress at asserting itself as the leading solution to hard water/limescale problems which of course we have a lot of in Bristol.

Which business do you use yourself on Gloucester Road?

Loads – Make, Pink Lemons, Able Electrics - with their fantastic new showroom, Post office, Co-Op, Lynne Fernandes, Romantica, Shake Wrap and Roll, Cartridge Right, Art shop near the post office, both grocers up near the butchers which we also use, Roxfords, various pubs especially the Galli, Prince of Wales and The Hob, health food shop, as many restaurants as possible! Boots and Sainsburys. We use others as well but these ones we use regularly.

What do you like most about Gloucester Road?

Variety and liveliness – it doesn’t bore you with ‘I’ve seen that before’.
And the people who you see all along it, who are just interesting to watch.
