Gloucester Road Social Media and Blog - What its all about!
At a time when high streets are having to get inventive to compete with the supermarkets and out of town shopping centres, Gloucester Road businesses are keen to put up a fight, by getting active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and starting this blog.
.
The team behind the Gloucester Road BID have launched a campaign on social media, using Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to communicate with Gloucester Road’s many fans about news, upcoming events and information about the businesses there.
They are also promoting the hashtag #LoveGloucesterRoad to encourage locals to tweet and post pictures on Instagram of the things they love about the area.
“It’s important for all businesses out there to keep up with the trends, and brands and destinations are expected to be found on Social Media” Says Dawn Clode, BID Director. “Social Media is used by the vast majority of people – it’s where our customers are spending their time”.
This is also the reason for launching this Gloucester Road blog, which can be followed for news, events and reviews about businesses and happenings in the area, along with a few interviews with traders to get to know your local businesses better.
One thing that is really outstanding about Gloucester Road, and always had been, is the vast number of independent businesses along the road. They’re not run by a faceless corporation, and there’s definitely a story behind the doors of these fantastic businesses along the road.
Get involved and follow Gloucester Road on social media!
